Optimal Sizing of Photovoltaic/Energy Storage Hybrid Power Systems: Considering Output Characteristics and Uncertainty Factors

The integration of PV and energy storage systems (ESS) into buildings is a recent trend. By optimizing the component sizes operation modes PV-ESS systems, system can better mitigate intermittent nature output. Although various methods have been proposed to optimize size achieve online management in optimal interconnection between them has received less attention. In order maximize effectiveness with limited address impact uncertainty on system, an optimization framework for determining system. consists five parts: determination size, analysis output characteristics, state prediction, parameter calibration strategies, update components features, it considers uncertain factors, including climate, different components, battery degradation caused by irregular charging discharging, establish model saving. To validate results, four climates year were considered. obtained results indicate that effectively working realizing matching degree 94.55% offline strategy. framework’s universality demonstrated through simulation across cities China.
